Co-designing choice: objectivity, aesthetics and agency in audio-description

Even though museums and galleries have made efforts to become more inclusive, many continue find it challenging engage visitors who are blind or low vision. The ‘Vis-ability’ exhibition, presented at the QUT Art Museum in 2019 was an exhibition curated with clear social inclusion goals from outset. Through it, museum sought develop innovative, cost effective, readily replicable techniques allow vision artists institution its collections. results affirm benefits of offering a spectrum engagement choices, also that capacity make critical contribution co-designing choices.
